The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Committee of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy (NACS) has ranked the National Information Technology Development Agency, (NITDA) high as one of the best public organizations that has complied with the strategy to fight corruption in governance and service delivery through the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Mrs. Fatima Abubakar who led the team to the Agency’s Corporate Headquarters, Abuja stated that she is highly overwhelmed with NITDA’s performance adding that; “NITDA, which is one of the stakeholders in our collective effort to fight corruption, is leading by example and has achieved more in its first baseline assessment from 2017 to 2021”.

Fatima Abubakar solicited for more budgetary provision for NITDA’s Anti-Corruption Unit for execution of its program such as publicity and awareness, sensitization and training toward the actualisation of the objective of establishing the unit.

The Director General of NITDA, Mr. Kashifu Inuwa, CCIE, appreciated the team and pledged to put more effort in the implementation of the strategy to see that all forms of corruption are curb according to the mandate of His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR.

He added that “The Agency’s door is always open for collaborations that will bring about swift growth and intensification of ICT alongside digitizing and promoting government services which will aid proper service delivery to the citizens of the country,” he assured.

Mr. Kashifu Inuwa stated that the presence of ACTU in several Organizations has helped the country in identifying and curbing unsolicited operations within Government Institutions which is promoting growth and development of the nation.
