Stakeholder Management and Partnership

Stakeholder Management and Partnership Department was created in 2024 to foster innovation, collaboration, and growth within Nigeria’s digital economy. As the bridge between technology and partnerships, it focuses on building and nurturing strategic alliances that drive transformative changes across sectors.

OBJECTIVES

  • The Stakeholder Management and Partnerships Department of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) aims to:
  • Foster strategic alliances that empower innovation within Nigeria’s digital economy.
  • Enhance stakeholder engagement to align digital transformation efforts with national and global standards.
  • Promote inclusive growth, sustainable development, and digital literacy across all sectors of the economy.

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Establish partnerships with government bodies, industry leaders, and international organizations.
  • Develop collaborative frameworks and Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) aligned with NITDA’s goals.
  • Facilitate cross-sector initiatives to promote digital inclusion and innovation.
  • Expand Nigeria’s presence in global IT ecosystems and conferences.
  • Forge partnerships with international technology firms and development agencies.
  • Enable knowledge-sharing and technology transfer for national benefit.
  • Ensure active involvement of stakeholders in designing and executing policies.
  • Create platforms for stakeholder consultation and feedback.
  • Coordinate contributions to national IT projects, such as cybersecurity and capacity-building initiatives.
  • Facilitate access to finance, mentorship, and markets for startups and MSMEs.
  • Collaborate with tech hubs and accelerators to drive entrepreneurial growth.
  • Support Nigerian innovators on global platforms.
  • Align partnerships with ministerial blueprints for digital transformation.
  • Drive joint initiatives across sectors like education, health, and fintech.
  • Promote collaboration among agencies, private entities, and regional organizations.
  • Track and assess stakeholder contributions and their alignment with NITDA’s objectives.
  • Regularly report partnership outcomes, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Ensure accountability in stakeholder engagements.
