Prof. Suleiman Mohammed
Professor Suleiman Mohammed, the Director DG’s Office of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), acquired his early education up to NCE level in the present Gombe State, Nigeria. He later obtained his Bachelor, Master and Doctoral degrees in Agricultural Economics at the prestigious Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi, Nigeria where he rose-up to the rank of a Professor as a lecturer in October 2017. He held various academic and administrative positions in the University including that of pioneer Director, Centre for Entrepreneurship Studies from 2012 to 2014 and 2014 to 2016. In the University, he was also a students’ registration officer for 6 years, an examination officer for 9 years in addition to various committees at Faculty and University levels in which he served as a member.
Prof. Mohammed, further, supervised 26 postgraduate and numerous undergraduate research works in addition to 46 scholarly publications he authored in reputable local and international journals.
He attended and/or presented papers / articles at seminars, conferences and workshops on Agriculture, Economics, ICT, Budget as well as Innovation and Entrepreneurship in many parts of the world such as Europe, Asia and African countries.
Prof. Mohammed, furthermore, successfully completed a course on Agriculture, Economics and Nature from the famous University of Western Australia and is a certified teacher with Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, a certified instructor of CCNA Cisco Networking Academy USA and a member of many academic and professional associations including ASN, IOE and FAMAN to mention but few. He joined the services of NITDA in February, 2017 when he headed the Budget Development and Monitoring Unit of the Agency till December 2019.
Prof. Mohammed is happily married with children.
