He joined the service of the Agency as a Principal Administration Officer and rose through the ranks to his present position of Director, Human Resource and Administration. He has served as the Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee (ACTU) during which the first Anti-Corruption Guide for the Agency was developed. He has also served as a member of different Committees of the Agency. He was part of the initiative and activities which lead to the formation and registration of the Nigeria Association of Information Technology enabled Outsourcing Companies (NAITEOC), an umbrella body of Associations of companies engaged in IT outsourcing practice.

He has attended trainings/seminars/workshops and courses on Management, Leadership, and Anti-Corruption, both locally and internationally. 

He is a member of the Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria (IPAN), member of the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN), a Certified Human Resources Practitioner (CHRP) and a Certified Administration Practitioner (CAP).

He is happily married with children.Mr Sarafa A. Lawal is the Director Human Resource and Administration Department. He holds a BSc in Geology from the University of Jos. He also obtained Post Graduate Diploma in Management, Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Information Technology Management from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi, the Federal University of Technology Minna and the University of Wolverhampton United Kingdom, respectively.
