Mohammed Onimisi Yahaya, PhD
Dr. Mohammed Onimisi Yahaya holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Science from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi (ATBU), and a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He formerly served as a lecturer at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University and an Assistant Professor at the University of Hafr Al Batin, Hafr AlBatin, Saudi Arabia until December 2019, when he joined the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) as an Assistant Director.
Dr. Mohammed is a proficient IT expert and scholar with proven abilities in talent management, digital literacy, skill development planning, leadership, coaching, and mentorship, strategy formulation, data protection, digital transformation, and IT governance. He holds certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Balanced Scorecard Professional (BSCP).
From 2020 to 2024, Dr. Mohammed served as the Special Assistant Technical to the Director-General of NITDA. He has participated in various training programs on strategy, leadership, and performance evaluation from reputable institutions inside and outside Nigeria. Additionally, he is a member of the Nigerian Computer Society (NCS) and the Computer Professionals (Registration Council of Nigeria) CPN.
Dr. Mohammed’s current research interests include Project Risk Management and Quality Assurance, Talent Management, Performance Improvement and Management System, Information Security and Privacy, and Information System Auditing.
