Draft National Digital Agriculture Strategy (NDAS)

The section 6 (g and h) of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) Act, 2007 mandates the Agency to create incentives to promote the use of information technology in all spheres of
life in Nigeria.
Therefore, as part of the Federal Government’s digital economy agenda, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy (FMCDE) and in collaboration with Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD), has developed Nigeria Digital Agriculture Strategy (NDAS) to build a vibrant digital agriculture sector that leverages digital technologies and innovations.
We believe leveraging digital technologies and innovations will attract youthful population into agriculture, create new digital business models across the agriculture value chain, enable millions of jobs, increase productivity and
contribution of the agriculture to GDP thereby making Nigeria a leading country in food security and exporter of standard agricultural produce to the rest of the world.
In view of this, NITDA is organizing a virtual stakeholder workshop to review the first draft of NDAS document.
As a critical stakeholder in the agriculture sector, We therefore urge you to click this link Draft National Agriculture Strategy (NDAS) and download the Draft National Agriculture Strategy (NDAS) for inputs before the workshop.
