The Acting Director General of National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Dr. Vincent Olatunji gave a cash reward and free incubation training at the Office for ICT Innovation and Entrepreneurship to a Corp member Miss Oluwaseun Olotu who served in the Finance Management and Control (FMC) Department, for developing a software for account reconciliation. .
During her service year Miss Olowu, a graduate of Novena University, Delta State developed an ‘Account Reconciliation software’ aimed at resolving issues of account statements reconciliation.
The Ag. Director of the Department, Mr. Ibrahim Ude commended the Corp member for her effort in finding a solution to the challenge faced by the Department.
A consolidated cash prize of N250, 000 was giving to her at an event organised to mark the Employee of the Month, an initiative of the Acting Director General to reward hardworking staff and motivate them.
The NITDA boss advised other corp members to always make their impact felt in their various departments by taking up responsibilities and proffer solution to challenges.
The Acting DG commended her effort, stating that despite her being a Corp member did not hinder her passion towards the development of the software .
He asserted that he is open to receive new ideas that will pave way for the development of ICT and the achievement of NITDA’s mandate.
He directed the Coordinator of the Office for ICT Innovation and Entrepreneurship (OIIE) to assist the corp member in the development of the software to be a success. Adding that this would aid job creation which is the core mandate of the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
In her remarks, she appreciated the Acting Director General of the agency for the privilege given to her to showcase her ability in developing a software that will help in solving the problem at hand while urging the Agency to always provide such opportunity and encouragement to other Corp members who are willing to embark on such act.
