Mr. Abubakar Shehu

Shehu Abubakar hails from Katsina Local Government, Katsina State. He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and Bachelor of Arts Degree LIB/Sociology.

He joined the Federal Civil Service in November 1988 and rose through the ranks and became an Assistant Director (Procurement) in 2014 having served in various Ministries such as Federal Ministries of Commence and Industry, Presidential Villa, Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, Federal Ministry of Finance before being posted to NITDA in November 2017 as the Head of Procurement Unit.

He has spearheaded and successfully delivered a number of Projects, Programmes and Policies of government such as the engagement of consultants for Process Audit of Revenue accrued to Federal Government, Engagement of consultants for the Voluntary Assets and Income Declaration Scheme (VAIDS) and engagement of consultant for the design of a dedicated line from the Presidential Villa to Katampe exchange among others.

He has attended various Training Programmes in Nigeria, Dubai, United Kingdom and South Africa.

He is a member of Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM), Nigeria Library Association (NLA) and Public Procurement Association of Nigeria (PPAN).

Mr Shehu is married with Children.
