The Director General of National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Dr. Isa Ali (Pantami) has reaffirmed the Agency’s resolve to prioritise the issue of Cyber Security in the country.

The DG disclosed this in a meeting with Cyber Security Experts Association of Nigeria (CSEAN) when the association paid him a courtesy call.

Dr. Pantami maintained that the Agency would support the Association in its drive to wad of cyber attacks in the country.

 “We will offer any support to CSEAN if we are not constraint with budgetary provision and whatever that is important will be taken to the Management for deliberation.

Earlier in his presentation, the Vice President of the Association, Dr. Ismaila Idris intimated the Management of the Agency of its activities.

He said the main focus of the Association is to build capacity in the area of cyber security which would impact positively on the socio-economic and security of the nation.

He stated further that CSEAN has been acting as the agent of change to address cyber crime phenomena through the engagement of intellectual minds as well as business and political leaders.

Dr Idris said that the Association through workshops and Seminars have been able to create awareness and broaden the knowledge of Nigerians on cyber security.
